Large fiberglass-reinforced axial flow fan installed beneath an air-cooled condenser cell, viewed from ground level looking up through the round FRP fan stack. Used to draw ambient air across finned-tube bundles condensing steam-turbine exhaust in power plants and refineries where cooling water is scarce or costly.

Motor-and-gearbox-driven axial fan fitted with a diamond-mesh safety guard, mounted beneath a finned-tube bundle bank. Typical of air-cooled heat exchangers used for process fluid, lube oil, and jacket-water cooling in refineries and petrochemical plants without access to cooling water.
